Ok, it's official, Something Good is finally online :) And you can find it HERE.
I was working on it for awhile, but I was waiting for the right moment to really open it. So, here we are :D
Something Good is a blog about all the beautiful things around us. Beacuse sometimes it's so difficult to focus on what we like, and, well, I love talking about the things I'm passionate about, or that I find interesting, or beautiful, or worth of my time. So, Something Good will be a virtual box where I can put all these things together :)
Right now it's only in Italian, but in the future there will be an English part, I think (and I hope!) :) Let's see how it goes!

Parlare di “8” senza dire che cosa c’è dietro ad “8” è impossibile. E dato che la Proposition 8, l’argomento e la spinta dietro a “8”, appunto, è un argomento che neppure gli americani hanno ben chiaro, mi sembrava giusto spendere almeno due parole per introdurre il tutto.

I'll probably write a full report for "8" (I hope to do it tomorrow), but I need to post this video and please, please, please, just watch it. It's just a tiny little part of what "8" is (and "8" is so strong and beautiful and REAL that I don't know how I could write something about it), but it's a really heartbroken tiny little part.

Dato che Flan su Twitter ha linkato un gioioso articolo del Corriere della Sera (sì, proprio quel Corriere), in cui signora giornalista e signor professore hanno deciso che dovevano tentare di capire il fenomeno delle fanfiction (poveri noi), ho deciso di riportare qui un estratto, perché a parte il wtf (... SANNO. Sanno che esistiamo. E' il momento di scappare), c'è stato il momento "...ma anche no".
Dall'articolo:
"Henry Jenkins, professore della University of South California e pioniere degli studi sulle comunità di fan, definisce questo genere letterario «un prodotto della fascinazione e della frustrazione» degli spettatori. Spiega Jenkins al «Corriere della Sera»: «Se i fan non fossero affascinati da un programma, non continuerebbero a occuparsene.Me se non ne fossero frustrati, non si metterebbero a rielaborarlo». Le «fan fiction» sono il tentativo di dare espressione, attraverso i personaggi della cultura popolare, ad aspirazioni di gruppi che non trovano adeguato riconoscimento in quella cultura. E infatti — puntualizza Jenkins in Cultura Convergente (edizioni Apogeo) — sono scritte per lo più da donne e sono spesso a tematica gay."
Io vi prego. Signor professore e signora giornalista. Vi prego. Evitate di tentare di capirci qualcosa, perché no, non è così. Non scriviamo perché siamo frustrati. Non siamo psicopatici. E non siamo pervertiti (non sul serio, almeno).
QUI per l'articolo (che parla di Glee e fanfiction, - seh, lo so -, ma la cosa che interessava veramente a me - e che ha scaturito una divertente discussione - è questo paragrafo qui sopra).
